Session aims
To provide an overview of the existing evidence base and how telerehabilitation models, particularly those that use more advanced digital technologies, could help to address current healthcare needs; to explain the evidence of the clinical effectiveness of telerehabilitation versus unsupervised and face-to-face pulmonary rehabilitation; to provide insight into the advantages and disadvantages of telerehabilitation, as well as the barriers and facilitators to clinical implementation; to describe practical approaches for implementing successful telerehabilitation programmes; to provide directions for future research.
